.....along comes this awesome Smittybilt Jerry Can Holder! This thing is well built and the powdercoat is really nice. Please don't believe it will "float" at the back of your tire, there's a separate adapter available for that mounting (search "Smittybilt 2740 I-Rack", or "Intelligent Rack", here on Amazon or check "The Bay"). This Jerry Can Holder has mounting holes on both long sides and it should be pretty easy to fabricate some form of suitable mount for it. As mentioned in other reviews, there are a bunch of rubber isolaters to keep your metal can off of the metal frame, they're not really secure---you'll want to get some self stick insulation to replace this, but it's no issue, really. You can leave the isolators in place if you never plan on removing the can from the holder (parade queen, like my buddies Jeep!); otherwise they'll pop out when you pull the can.
Overall, I'm really impressed at the quality and appearance of this thing for the money!
